On January 2, 2023, members of the RPS Stolen Auto Unit located a stolen vehicle in the 2400 block of Rothwell Street. Officers saw three suspects – two males and one female – leave the car and enter a business on Arcola Avenue. Police attended to the business and the suspects were taken into custody without incident. In a search incident to arrest, police determined one of the males was carrying a concealed, loaded firearm. The female had ammunition on her person. As a result:
Twenty-two year-old Chance GEDDES of Regina, has been charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Under $5000 [CC 355 (B)];
- Carrying Concealed Weapon [CC 90];
- Careless Use of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition [CC 86 (1)];
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm [CC 91 (1)];
- Possession of a Prohibited/Restricted Firearm With Ammunition [CC 95 (1)(A)].
Twenty year-old Natasha Faye STAITE, of Regina, has been charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Under $5000 [CC 355 (B)];
- Possession of Firearm/Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order [CC 117.01 (1)];
- 2 X Fail To Comply With Condition of a Release Order [CC 145 (5)(A)].
Thirty-three year-old Robert Lawrence MCDONALD, of Regina, has been charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Under $5000 [CC 355 (B)];
- Fail To Comply With Condition Of A Release Order [CC 145 (5)(A)];
- Breach Conditional Sentence Order [CC 742.6 (1)].
GEDDES, STAITE, and MCDONALD made their first court appearances in Provincial Court this morning (January 3, 2023) at 9:30 a.m.
