On Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at approximately 8:15 a.m., police were dispatched to a business on the 2100 block of Broad Street for the report of a robbery in progress. Information received was that a male had come into the business, threatened staff, damaged property, and stole items.
Police arrived and were given a suspect description of a male who had fled the scene. Later that evening, a male was seen matching the description on the 1600 block of Albert Street and was arrested without incident.
As a result, forty-eight year-old Nathan THOMPSON was arrested and charged for the following offenses:
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(B)]; and
- Mischief Under $5000 [CC 430(4)].
The accused made their first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court this morning, Thursday, June 20, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.
