
You may not need to visit in person to report a crime. Please review the following options:
Direct Entry Victim Reporting (DEVR)
Direct Entry Victim Reporting Includes online and telephone reporting. If you feel you are a victim of any of the following, you can report online, or call (306) 777-6500. Choose option 9 to reach the Communication Centre to report over the telephone.
If someone has attempted unsuccessfully to gain unlawful or unpermitted entry to your home or business, you can report it through DEVRS.
If a person has attempted or completed destruction or damage in the attempt or completion of entering a shed or garage, it can be reported here.
If the operation of a vehicle has destroyed or damaged property without injuries to a person, it can be reported here.
If you have lost property, but are not sure that it has been stolen, you can report it here. Found property can also be reported.
Mischief includes vandalism (willful destruction or damage of property), and interference of enjoyment or operation of property. Mischief also includes the destruction of computer data.
Graffiti vandalism is any inscription, slogan, drawing, etc., scratched scribbled or drawn, often in spray paint, on public or private property without permission.

Shoplifting is taking property from a retail business while appearing as a customer.
Theft is stealing or taking property without permission from the lawful property owner.
Property taken from a vehicle. This does not include theft of a vehicle.
If you have additional information to add to your existing report submitted online or by telephone, you can use DEVR.
Virtual Police Reporting System (VPRS)
The Virtual Police Reporting System (VPRS) enables you to speak to a police officer from your home or office through video messaging applications, such as FaceTime, Google Meet, Zoom, etc.
If you feel you are a victim of the following frauds or motor vehicle incidents, you can report via the Virtual Police Reporting System:
Motor Vehicle Collisions reportable through VPRS include only the following:
- A collision where SGI has instructed you to report to police
- A hit and run AND you have a suspect plate number, driver name or video showing the hit and run
- An injury as a result of the motor vehicle accident
- A collision with an out-of-province license plate
