On July 11, 2026 at approximately 9:35 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 4400 block of 4th Avenue following a report of a robbery. Through investigation, police learned the victim had been approached by three female suspects and was thrown to the ground and repeatedly spit on. During the incident, she dropped her cell phone, which the suspects took as they fled. The cell phone was located on the ground a short distance away.
The Aerial Support Unit was notified, and within minutes, located three individuals matching the suspects’ descriptions a few blocks from the scene. Patrols officers on the ground responded to the area and took two of the suspects into custody without incident. Through investigation, it was determined that the third suspect was not involved in the robbery or assault of the victim.
As a result of this investigation:
Twenty year-old Jinell ALEXSON is charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(B)].
ALEXSON made her first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court today (July 13, 2026).
A 17 year-old female, who cannot be named in keeping with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(B)].
