On Wednesday, June 28, 2024, at approximately 1:50 p.m., police were dispatched to a business on the 4300 block of Dewdney Street for the report of a robbery in progress. Information received was that a male had come into the business, threatened staff, and stole items.
Police arrived and were given a suspect description of a male who had fled the scene. Through investigation, police were able to identify the suspect and arrested him without incident on July 5, 2024. A search warrant was executed and revealed the stolen items and a knife.
As a result, forty year-old Rian KNOSS was arrested and charged for the following offences:
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(B)]; and
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order [CC 733.1(1)]
The accused made their first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court this morning, Monday, July 8, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.
