On Wednesday, June 5, 2024, police were dispatched to a robbery in progress on the 2900 block of Dewdney Avenue. Information received was that a victim had been threatened and robbed by a male with a weapon.
Police arrived and were given a suspect description of a male who had fled the scene. On Friday, July 19, 2024, police located a male matching the description, who was arrested without incident. A search revealed the victims belongings and the weapon.
As a result, 26 year-old Sheldon SPENCE was arrested and charged for the following offences:
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(B)]; and
- Assault with a Weapon [CC 267(A)].

The accused will make their first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court this morning, Monday, July 22, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.
