A 34 year-old female and a 55 year-old male and an alleged “customer”, a 38 year-old female, are facing drug-related charges in connection with the search of a residence in the 100 block of Broad Street yesterday, July 11, 2012.
Yesterday, Wednesday, July 11, 2012, the Regina Police Service, working with members of SCAN (Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods), carried out a search warrant on a residence at 199 Broad Street. In the search, police seized a substantial quantity of morphine pills, cocaine, cash and other drug paraphernalia. The male and female residents of that house were taken into custody without incident. The female was also found to have an outstanding warrant. While police were executing the search, a female came to the residence, allegedly for the purpose of buying drugs. She was also arrested and found to be in possession of marihuana, and in breach of court-ordered conditions.
Fifty-five year-old Dennis Wayne MAIER, DOB: 1957-05-15, and 34 year-old Glenda Mae BELLEGARDE, DOB: 1978-05-12, both of Regina, are jointly charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine) [5(2) CDSA]; Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (morphine) [5(2) CDSA]; Possession of the Proceeds of Crime over $5000 [355(a) CC]; Possession of a Controlled Substance (cocaine) [4(1) CDSA] and Possession of a Controlled Substance (morphine) [4(1) CDSA]. Both co-accused made their first court appearances on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. today, Thursday, July 12, 2012.
Thirty-eight year-old Tammy Lee SCHMIDT, DOB: 1973-12-22, of Regina, is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (cannabis) [4(5) CDSA] as well as a Breach of Probation and Breach of Conditional Sentence Order. Schmidt appeared in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. today, Thursday, July 12, 2012.
