A 23 year-old male is facing charges after police investigation into drug trafficking in the city of Regina. This is the result of the combined efforts of the Regina Police Service Street Gang Unit, Canine Unit, and Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team.
As a result of this drug trafficking investigation by the Regina Drug Unit, police conducted enforcement on a male in a parking lot on Quance Street and Prince of Wales on Thursday, May 9, 2024. The male was taken into custody. A search warrant was executed on a residence on the 5100 block of Simard Avenue.
Police located:
- Over $42,000 in Canadian currency;
- 88 g of a substance believed to be cocaine;
- 41 g of a substance believed to be crack cocaine;
- Multiple phones, scales, and
- Fake identification.
As a result, 23 year-old Paolo SILVERA is charged with:
- Use of a Forged Document [CC 368(1)(A)];
- Possession of a Forged Document With Intent [CC 368(1)(D)];
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking [CDSA 5(2)]; and
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 [CC 355].
SILVERA made his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court today, Friday, May 10, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.
