On Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at approximately 12:00 a.m., members of the Regina Police Service Crime Reduction Team* concluded a month’s long investigation into drug trafficking. This multi-jurisdictional investigation had the assistance of Regina Police Service Street Gang Unit, Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT), K9, and Patrol as well as Saskatoon Police Service Crime Reduction Team and Saskatoon Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit.
This investigation led to a traffic stop on Highway 11 Northwest of Regina, where the driver of the suspect vehicle attempted to evade the stop and rammed police vehicles. The vehicle was stopped and two adult males and one adult female were subsequently taken into custody.
As a result of the search of the vehicle, police located:
- 1187 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine;
- 17 grams of a substance believed to be methamphetamine;
- Firearms ammunition;
- Bear Mace;
- Machete;
- Scales; and
- Multiple cellphones.
As a result of the investigation, 30 year-old Zachary Sean CARVER, 30 year-old Timothy Carl MULDOON, both of Regina, and 24 year-old Kailey Noreen WOLFE, of Saskatoon, are jointly charged with:
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purposes of Trafficking [CDSA 5(2)].
WOLFE is also charged with:
- Operate Conveyance Dangerous to Public [C.C. 320.13(1)];
- Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order [C.C. 117.01(1)]; and
- Resist Arrest [C.C. 129(a)].
MULDOON is also charged with:
- 2 X Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose [C.C. 88]; and
- Fail to Comply with Conditions of an Undertaking [C.C. 145(4)(a)].
The accused made their first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.
