On Thursday, June 20, 2024, at approximately 9:00 p.m., members of the Regina Police Service Crime Reduction Team* concluded a month long investigation related to drug trafficking. With the assistance of Patrol, a traffic stop was initiated and a 40 year-old Regina man was taken into custody.
As a result of the arrest, police located:
- 06 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine;
- 12 grams of a substance believed to be fentanyl;
- 11 grams of a substance believed to be methamphetamine; and
- $1, 375.00 in Canadian Currency.
As a result of the investigation, 40 year-old Shawn BRANTON of Regina, was charged with the following:
- 2 X Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purposes of Trafficking [CDSA 5(2)].
The accused was released from police custody and will make his first court appearance on August 8th, 2024 in Provincial Court.
