On Friday, June 28, 2024, members of the Regina Drug Unit (RDU) concluded an investigation into drug trafficking in the city of Regina.
This investigation led police to a search warrant execution on the 4800 block of Harbour Landing in Regina. A 39 year-old male was taken into custody and subsequently charged for drug trafficking.
As a result of the search, police located:
- Approximately 4 kilograms of a substance believed to be methamphetamine;
- Approximately 1 kilogram of a substance believed to be cocaine;
- Approximately 1 kilogram of a substance believed to be Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA); and
- 934 pills believed to be fentanyl.
As a result of the investigation, 39 year-old Eldon Victor GRANT, of Surrey, British Columbia, is charged with:
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (methamphetamine) [CDSA 5(2)];
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine) [CDSA 5(2)];
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (MDMA) [CDSA 5(2)]; and
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (fentanyl) [CDSA 5(2)];
GRANT made his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
