A fourth person is now charged in relation to a homicide that occurred in June of 2025.
On June 10, 2025, RCMP were called to a rural area near Grand Coulee for the report of a deceased individual. Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes launched the initial investigation into the suspicious death, which was later deemed a homicide.
The deceased was identified as 35 year-old Aron Lunan.
Through continued investigation, Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes and the Regina Police Service Major Crimes Unit determined that the case originated within the city of Regina. As a result, the Regina Police Service took over the investigation.
This led to the arrest of 24 year-old Britain VOLK on July 1, 2025. Thirty year-old Patrick AKAPEW and 38 year-old Tyler EDWARDS were arrested on July 3, 2025
Today, 37 year-old Kayla MITTON was arrested and charged in relation to this homicide.
All four individuals are charged with:
- First Degree Murder [CC 235(1)].
MITTON will make her first appearance on this charge in Regina Provincial Court tomorrow morning, Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 9:30 a.m.
