A 24-year-old male is charged with First-Degree Murder following an investigation into a homicide that occurred in June of 2025.
On June 10, 2025, RCMP were called to a rural area near Grand Coulee for the report of a deceased individual. Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes launched the initial investigation into the suspicious death, which was later deemed a homicide. The deceased was identified as 35-year-old Aron Lunan.
Through continued investigation, Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes and the Regina Police Service Major Crimes Unit determined that the case originated within the city of Regina. As a result, the Regina Police Service took over the investigation.
As a result of this investigation, 24 year-old Britain VOLK is charged with:
- First-Degree Murder [CC 235(1)]
VOLK will make his first appearance on this charge in Regina Provincial Court this morning, Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 9:30 a.m.
