At approximately 1:00 a.m. on Monday, July 27, 2026, members of the Regina Police Service attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Robinson Street. The driver failed to stop and fled at a high rate of speed.
The Regina Police Service Aerial Support Unit monitored the vehicle as it travelled through Regina and eastbound on Highway 1 toward Moose Jaw at excessive speeds. Members of the Moose Jaw Police Service assisted by attempting to deploy a tire deflation device; however, the driver turned around before reaching the device and returned toward Regina.
As the vehicle re-entered the city, Regina Police Service officers successfully deployed a tire deflation device. The vehicle continued for a short distance before slowing and coming to a stop, at which point officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop. The lone male driver was arrested without incident.
As a result of this investigation, 34 year-old Tyler LAVALLEE is charged with:
- Operate Conveyance Dangerous to Public [CT 320.13(1)];
- Flight from Peace Officer [CT 320.17]; and
- Unlawfully at Large [CC 145(1)].
LAVALLEE made his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court this morning (July 27, 2026) at 9:30 a.m.
