On July 26, 2026, at approximately 1:00 a.m., patrolling officers responded to the 1100 block of Cameron Street after receiving a report of an assault in progress.
Upon arrival, officers located an injured adult male lying in the roadway. During the investigation, officers determined that the injured male was the suspect in an earlier assault on an adult female.
The investigation revealed that the suspect had allegedly assaulted the female victim before being confronted by an adult male who intervened. An altercation then occurred between the two males, resulting in the suspect sustaining injuries.
The suspect was taken into custody at the scene and treated by EMS before being transported to hospital for further assessment. Officers located a pipe that had been used as a weapon during the assault.
As a result of this investigation, 27 year-old Braydon LAVALLEE is charged with:
- Sexual Assault with a Weapon [CC 272(1)(A)]; and
- Assault with a Weapon [CC 267(A)].
LAVALLEE made his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court this morning (July 27, 2026) at 9:30 a.m.
