A 19-year-old male is facing charges following an aggravated assault on June 27, 2026.
At approximately 2:00 p.m., police were dispatched to the 700 block of Arthur Street for a report of a weapons offence. Upon arrival, officers located an injured adult male inside a residence. The victim told police he had answered the door and the male suspect, unknown to the victim, came inside the home. The male suspect assaulted the victim before leaving the residence.
EMS attended and transported the victim to hospital for treatment of, what appeared to be, serious laceration and puncture wounds.
Officers located the suspect and he was taken into custody without further incident.
As a result, 19 year-old Justin HOTOMANI is charged with:
- Aggravated Assault [CC 268(1)];
- Resist Arrest [CC 129(A)]; and
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order [CC 733.1(1)].
HOTOMANI made his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court this morning, June 29, 2026.
