Shortly after midnight on May 2, 2026, police were called to a parking lot in the 1700 block of Prince of Wales Drive for a report of a firearm in a vehicle.
Police arrived on scene, located the vehicle and arrested the driver. A barrel of a shotgun was observed on the backseat. A search of the vehicle turned up all components of a disassembled shotgun. Ammunition for the firearm was located on the front seat.
The firearm and ammunition were seized and, as a result of this investigation, 27 year-old Brody BROWN of Moose Jaw, SK is charged with:
• Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order [CC 117.01(1)];
• Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized [CC92(1)];and
• Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition in a Motor Vehicle [CC 94(1)(A)(ii).
BROWN made his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court Monday, May 4, 2026.
