Two people are facing charges following a traffic stop.
On Monday, May 4, 2026, members of the Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team (STRT Regina), with the assistance of the Patrol, Aerial Support Unit and Canine Unit, conducted a traffic stop at Dewdney Avenue and Elphinstone Street.
Two occupants of the vehicle, an adult male and adult female, were taken into custody on outstanding warrants. A search of the vehicle, subsequent to arrest, revealed a loaded handgun.
As a result of this investigation,
Forty year-old Edmond GORDON and 34 year-old Shaquielle JACK are jointly charged with:
- Careless Storage of a Firearm [CC 86(2)];
- Carry Concealed Weapon [CC 90]
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm [CC 92(1)];
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle [CC 94(1)];and
- Possession of a Loaded Prohibited Firearm [CC 95(1)].
Edmond GORDON is additionally charged with:
- 2 x Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order [CC 117.01(1)];
- Fail to comply with Conditions of Release Order [CC 145(5)(a)];and
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order [733.1(1)]
 Both accused made their first appearances on these charges in Regina Provincial Court today, Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
