At approximately 2:30 a.m., this morning (April 20, 2026) police received a call from a security company. The caller indicated they were watching, through security footage, an adult male suspect entering an apartment complex under construction on the 1700 block of Neville Drive.
Patrol and Canine officers arrived on scene, and within moments, officers observed the suspect exit the building. The suspect did not comply with police demands, hopped the fence and fled through an adjacent parking lot. A Police Service Dog (PSD) was deployed and helped bring the suspect into custody. During the arrest, the PSD bit the suspect. He was transported to hospital where he was treated for injuries consistent with a dog bite.
As a result of this investigation, 22 year-old Austin GARRAWAY is charged with:
- Break and Enter with Intent [CC 348(1)(A)].
GARRAWAY will make his first appearance on this charge in Regina Provincial Court on June 2, 2026 at 9:30 a.m.
