The investigation into a firearms offence that resulted in serious injuries to an 11-year-old girl continues. Among many other investigative tasks, officers are reviewing hours of surveillance video obtained from the area around the scene. Investigators are renewing their request for surveillance video and broadening the area.
Officers were called to a residence in the 1000 block of Edgar Street shortly after 2:00 a.m. Ā on August 11, 2025. When they arrived, they found an 11-year-old female inside the residence suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to hospital by EMS with serious injuries.
Preliminary investigation shows multiple gunshots were fired at the residence from outside the residence. At this time, there appears to be no risk to the general public.
Anyone in the area of the 1000 block of Edgar Street (please see the attached revised and expanded map), who has video surveillance from August 10/11 is asked to reach out to RPS investigators atĀ 306-777-6500.
