On Thursday, August 14, 2025 at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Retallack Street and 2nd Avenue.
During the traffic stop, officers discovered the driver had outstanding warrants and placed them under arrest. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed two firearms – one was loaded. A second individual, a passenger in the vehicle, was taken into custody without incident.
As a result of this investigation, 34 year-old Gary RIDDELL, is charged with:
- Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order [CC 117.01(1)]; and
- Fail to Comply with Conditions of a Release Order [CC 145(5)(A)].

RIDDELL will make his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court on September 25, 2025 at 9:30 a.m.
Twenty-eight year-old Tyler PELLETIER, is charged with:
- Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations [CC 86(2)];
- Possession of a Loaded Restricted Firearm [CC 95(1)];
- Unauthorized Possession of Firearm in Motor Vehicle [CC 94(1)];
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized [CC 92(1)]; and
- Possession of a Weapon [CC 88].
