Yesterday afternoon (July 30, 2025), at approximately 1:45 p.m., Police were dispatched to the 2100 block of 11th Avenue in response to a weapons offence. Initial information indicated that an individual was carrying what appeared to be a firearm.
Shortly afterward, the building was placed on lockdown and officers arrived on scene. Following an investigation, the threat was deemed unfounded and no firearm was located in the area. The area was subsequently reopened, with no further safety concerns to the public.
