On Saturday, June 7, 2025, at approximately 2:20 a.m., officers on the ground were alerted by the Aerial Support Unit (ASU) to a suspicious person in the area of 4th Avenue and Retallack Street.
Upon arrival, with the assistance of ASU officers tracking from the sky, officers located the suspect in a nearby alleyway. As they approached, the male fled on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, officers arrested the suspect without further incident. A subsequent search of the area revealed a bag belonging to the suspect, which contained a sawed-off firearm and ammunition.
As a result of this investigation, twenty-nine year old Jude PABLEO is charged with:
• Possession of a Weapon [CC 88];
• Carrying a Concealed Weapon [CC 90];
• Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm [CC 92(1)]; and
• Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition [CC 95(1)(A)].
The accused made their first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court, this morning, Monday, June 9, 2025 at 9:30 a.m.
