Update: Male Charged in Attempt Murder and Assault
The Regina Police Service is asking the public for assistance as they investigate an assault with a weapon which occurred late this morning.
On Thursday, June 20, at approximately 11:25 a.m. police were dispatched to a residence on the 4100 block of 17th Avenue for the report of a weapons offence. Information received indicated two adults were assaulted with a knife, and the assailant fled the scene.
Police and EMS arrived and attended to the victims who were sent to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. It was learned that the victims were preparing a yard sale when a male approached and assaulted them with a knife before fleeing.
