On the morning of Monday, June 17, 2024, at approximately 7:15 a.m., police were dispatched to the 800 block of Angus Street for the report of a firearms offence. Information received was that a female was shot at while she was in a vehicle.
Police arrived and spoke to the victim, who was not injured, and began to canvas the area. Within a short amount of time, police located two males who fit the suspect description walking eastbound on the 1100 block of Rae Street. Both males were arrested without incident. Police conducted a search of the area and located a sawed off shotgun and machete.
As a result, two males were arrested and charged for the following offences:
Nineteen year-old Demetrius BLUEEYES, is charged with:
- Discharge of a Firearm in a Reckless Manner [CC 244.2(1)(B)]
- Court: 991271653
Twenty year-old Mason AGECOUTAY, is charged with:
- Discharge of a Firearm in a Reckless Manner [CC 244.2(1)(B)]; and
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm [CC 91(1)]; and
- Possession of a Loaded or Restricted Firearm [CC 95(1)]; and
- Possession of a weapon [CC 88]; and
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order [CC 733.1(1)].

The accused made their first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court this morning, June 18, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.
