On Saturday, June 15, 2024, at approximately 9:10 p.m., police were dispatched to the 800 block of Robinson Street for the report of a weapons offence. Information received indicated that a large group of people were seen attempting to push their way into a residence on the block and some were armed.
Police arrived and observed several people running away. Police were able to stop and detain some of the individuals. Investigation determined that three individuals rushed into the residence and threatened an adult female and demanded items. Three individuals were located and taken into custody, and charged with break and enter and commit assault. Two of the accused assailants were the subjects of outstanding warrants, and one of the two wanted was also found to be in breach of conditions of a release order.
As a result, 45 year-old Thomasine Danita HAPA, 28 year-old Darian Louis GOFORTH-LAPLANTE, and 20 year-old Kianna Jaylee HAPA, all of Regina, are jointly charged with:
- Break, Enter, & Commit [CC 348(1)(B)].
Kianna HAPA is also charged with:
- Failure to Comply with Release Order [CC 145(5)(A)].
The accused made their first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court this morning, Monday, June 17, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.
