On Friday, February 23, 2024 at approximately 9:23 PM, police were dispatched to a business in the 4500 block of Gordon Road for a report of three youths causing a disturbance. Further information was obtained that one of the youths had discharged a fire extinguisher and assaulted three staff at the business. Police arrived in the area and located and arrested a 13 year-old female youth who was uncooperative and combative with police, resulting in the assault of a police officer.
The 13 year-old female youth, who cannot be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act is charged with:
Assault (Sec 266 CC) x 3
Fail To Comply With Disposition (Sec 137 YCJA)
Mischief Under $5000 (Sec 430(4) CC)
Obstruct Peace Officer (Sec 129(A) CC)
Assault A Peace Officer (Sec 270(1)(A) CC)
The female youth will appear in Regina Provincial Court on these charges on February 26, 2024 at 9:30 AM.
