The Regina Police Service has charged a 23 year-old Regina female in connection with a homicide in Regina in October of 2021. The victim of that homicide was 24 year-old Peri REDWOOD, of Regina.
The death investigation began on Wednesday October 13, 2021, when police patrol members were dispatched to the 1700 block of Ottawa Street, for a report of a deceased person. The deceased adult female was later identified as 24 year-old Peri A.N. REDWOOD, and as the result of investigation, the case was declared a homicide investigation. Major Crimes investigators, assisted by numerous other sections within the Regina Police Service, have continued to work on this case. On February 23, 2022, a 23 year-old female suspect was located and arrested. This investigation is ongoing.
Twenty-three year-old Hope Reign CYR, of the Punnichy District, is charged with Second-Degree Murder, contrary to section 235(1) of the Criminal Code. CYR will make her first court appearance on this charge in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. (this morning) Thursday, February 24, 2022.
