The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, has begun a death investigation after the discovery of a deceased person early this morning (February 16, 2022).
At approximately 3:00 a.m., on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, police were dispatched to a residence in the 700 block of Garnet Street in Regina for an “assist citizen” call. After arrival at the location, police found a deceased adult female in the house. Patrol officers secured the scene and requested additional resources including the Forensic Identification unit and the Coroner. At this time, work is underway to determine the identity of the deceased person. Once identity is confirmed, police will notify this individual’s next of kin. There are no other details for release at this time.
This investigation is ongoing in collaboration with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
