A 31 year-old male is facing charges after a weapons incident in Regina on Monday, December 13, 2021.
At about 10:45 a.m., police were dispatched to the area of 14th Avenue and Retallack Street for a report of a male who had just been inside a nearby business, carrying a hatchet. Police located the individual and took him into custody without incident. A search of the male yielded a hatchet. The 31 year-old was also on conditions to keep the peace, so he was charged in connection with the weapon and the breach of probation.
Thirty-one year-old Philip SQUIRE, of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession of a weapon (hatchet) for a purpose dangerous to public peace, s. 88 CC; and
- Breach of Probation, s. 733.1(1) CC.
SQUIRE was released on an Undertaking to appear in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m., on January 31, 2022.
