A 30-year-old male is facing charges following a weapons-related incident involving a knife.
At approximately 5:55 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, police were dispatched to a residence in the 1000 block of Robinson Street after receiving a report of a weapons offence. Initial information indicated an unknown male had approached a residence seeking help before entering the home and threatening the occupant with a knife.
Officers attended the scene and safely took the suspect into custody. The victim was not physically injured.
As a result of this investigation, 30 year-old Brennon DESJARLAIS is charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon [CC 267(A)];
- Break Enter and Commit [CC 348(1)(B)];
- Obstruct Peace Officer [CC 129(A)];
- 4 x Forcible Confinement [CC 279(2)]; and
- Fail to Comply with Condition of a Release Order [CC 145(5)(A)];
DESJARLAIS made his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court this morning on June 29, 2026.
