On Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at approximately 4:25 p.m., police received a report of a threat involving a school in the 5700 block of Rochdale Boulevard. Information received indicated a student had made comments about bringing a firearm to the school.
Officers launched an investigation and were able to identify and locate the suspect. The youth was arrested without incident.
As a result of this investigation, a 16 year-old male, who cannot be named in keeping with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with:
- Uttering Threats [CC 264.1(1)(A)].
The youth will his first appearance on this charge in Regina Provincial Youth Court this morning, (Thursday, May 14, 2026) at 9:30 a.m.
As part of the investigation, a 38 year-old male, who cannot be named because it would identify the youth, is charged with:
- Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations – Careless Storage of Firearm [CC 86(2)].
He will make his first appearance on this charge in Regina Provincial Court on June 17, 2026.
