Four Charged in Drug Trafficking Investigation

Four people are facing charges following a two-month investigation led by the Regina Police Service Drug Unit.

As part of the investigation, two search warrants were executed under the authority of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) and Criminal Code of Canada. The searches took place between March 13, 2026 and April 22, 2026 at two residences – one in the 1800 block of Victoria Avenue and the other in the 0 block of Centennial Street in Regina, SK. Two vehicles were also searched. As a result, significant quantities of illicit drugs and cash were located and seized, including:

• 2,428.70 grams of Cocaine
• $10,876.00 in cash

As a result of this investigation, 23 year-old Madhav KUMAR of Bathinda, India is charged with:

• 3 x Trafficking in Cocaine [CDSA 5(1)];
• Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine) [CDSA 5(2)]; and
• Possession of Proceeds of Crime under $5,000.00 [CC 355(B)]

KUMAR made his first appearance on these charges on March 16, 2026 in Regina Provincial Court.

Twenty-five-year-old Jayda HERMAN of Saskatoon, SK is charged with:

• Trafficking in Cocaine [CDSA 5(1)];
• Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine) [CDSA 5(2)];and
• Possession of Proceeds of Crime under $5,000.00 [CC 355(B)].

HERMAN made her first appearance on these charges on March 16, 2026 in Regina Provincial Court.

Twenty-one-year-old Ellisha SAYER of Regina, SK is charged with:

• Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine) [CDSA 5(2)];and
• Possession of Proceeds of Crime under $5,000.00 [CC 355(B)].

SAYER made her first appearance on these charges on March 18, 2026 in Regina Provincial Court.

Thirty-four-year-old Mohamud Ahmed GURE of Mississauga, ON is charged with:

• Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine) [CDSA 5(2)];
• Possession of Proceeds of Crime under $5,000.00 [CC 355(B)];

GURE made his first appearance on these charges on March 18, 2026 in Regina Provincial Court. On April 22, 2026, GURE was arrested and charged a second time in a separate occurrence related to this ongoing investigation. He was charged with the following:

• Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine) [CDSA 5(2)];
• Possession of Proceeds of Crime under $5,000.00 [CC 355(B)];
• Flight from Peace Officer [CC 320.17]; and
• Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance [CC 320.13].

GURE made his first appearance on these charges on April 23, 2026 in Regina Provincial Court.
