A 29 year-old male is charged in relation to an ongoing homicide investigation.
At approximately 1:15 a.m., on April 13, 2026, police were dispatched to a report of an injured male in the 3100 block of 5th Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located the victim and began to attempt life-saving measures. EMS arrived a short time later and declared the victim, 36 year-old Myles Anderson of Regina, deceased on scene. The area was secured and the Regina Police Service Major Crimes Unit, the Regina Police Service Forensic Identification Unit and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service were called in.
On Friday, April 24, 2026, a search warrant was executed on a residence in the 1600 block of Toronto Street. Police located 29 year-old Blayne OKEMAYSIM inside the residence and took him into custody.
Twenty-nine year-old Blayne OKEMAYSIM is charged with:
• Second Degree Murder [CC 235 (1)].
OKEMAYSIM will make his first appearance on this charge in Regina Provincial Court on Monday, April 27, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. This is the city’s second homicide of 2026.
