On April 15, 2026, at approximately 11:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the Rosemont Area for a report of an unwanted guest at a residence.
Upon arrival, officers located the suspect in the basement and asked him to leave the premises. The suspect did not comply. Officers then advised him that he was under arrest. At this point, the suspect became combative and assaulted police. Following a struggle, officers were able to bring the suspect into custody.
A 43 year-old male is charged with:
- Assault a Peace Officer [CC 270(1)(A)]; and
- Resist Arrest [CC 129(A)].
He will make his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.
