At approximately 12:50 p.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2026, officers responded to a report of a collision in the 2200 block of Victoria Avenue. Initial investigation determined that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street. The driver briefly stopped at the scene before leaving the area.
Further investigation led officers to identify and locate the suspect vehicle parked at a business in the 2200 block of Victoria Avenue. At approximately 1:47 p.m., the driver was taken into custody without incident.
The pedestrian, an adult female, was transported to hospital by EMS with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
As a result of this investigation, 45 year-old Arvindkumar CHAUDHARI is charged with:
- Failure to Stop After Accident that Results in Bodily Harm [CT 320.16(2)];
CHAUDHARI will make his first appearance on this charge in Regina Provincial Court on Monday, March 19, 2026 at 9:30 a.m.
