Over the past 24 hours the Regina Police Service has responded to 24 collisions, most of which appear to be as a result of the weather.
Three of those collisions resulted in, what appeared to be, minor injuries.
We would like to remind drivers to drive for the road conditions. City crews continue their work to plow snow and salt the icy roadways and more snow is expected tomorrow.
- Give yourself extra time to get to your destination.
- Reduce your speed, especially around crews and first responders.
- Clear snow and ice off vehicle windows before driving.
- Ensure your lights are on.
- If you are planning to head out of town, check the highway hotline first.
In addition to the snow and ice, we are also experiencing frigid temperatures. If you see someone in need of assistance please call us 306-777-6500 or 911 in an emergency.
