A 40 year-old male is facing multiple charges related to theft, drug trafficking and driving dangerously.
At approximately 7:30 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025, police were called to the 3100 block of East Truesdale Driver for a report of a hit and run. The caller told police that a van had driven over a front lawn and crashed into a fence. The suspect driver then fled from the scene on foot.
Just as officers were responding to this call, a second call came in from Spicer Place, roughly one block away. The caller, a delivery driver, told police that their vehicle, which had been left running, had been stolen while they made a delivery at a residence.
The suspect drove the stolen vehicle to White City where he robbed a local business and attempted to steal someone’s car while they were inside it. He was unsuccessful and made his way back into the city.
At approximately 8:50 p.m., a report came in of a dangerous driver in the area of McDonald Street and Park Street. The RPS Aerial Support Unit was able to get an eye on the driver and follow from the sky. Officers observed him driving erratically and swerving all over the road. A short time later, the driver collided with a vehicle in the area of Douglas Avenue and Douglas Crescent. The driver, and lone occupant, of that vehicle sustained, what appeared to be, minor injuries and was treated on scene by EMS.
The suspect, and lone occupant, of the stolen vehicle was taken into custody with the assistance of the RPS Tactical Support Unit.
