At approximately 7:00a.m. Thursday, November 27, 2025 officers were called to the parking lot of a business in the 300 block of McCarthy Blvd North for a report of a possible impaired driver.
When officers arrived on scene they observed a vehicle with two occupants, an adult male and an adult female parked in a truck. As officers arrived the male passenger got out of the vehicle and started to walk away. Officers determined the truck was reported stolen the day prior and ordered the female driver out of the vehicle, telling her she was under arrest. The female suspect did not comply with police direction to exit the vehicle despite repeated orders from police to do so. A Police Service Dog (PSD) was used to assist in bringing the suspect into custody without further incident. The female suspect was taken to hospital by EMS to be treated for what appeared to be minor injuries consistent with a dog bite. The male suspect was taken into custody without incident.
