A 40 year-old male is facing charges following a collision with a pedestrian last evening (Monday, November 3, 2025).
Shortly after 7:00 p.m., officers were called to the 1800 block of Cameron Street for a report of an impaired driver. While officers were on route, a second call came in that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle near Athol Street and 8th Avenue. The victim was taken to hospital by EMS for treatment of what appeared to be minor injuries. The driver of the vehicle did not remain on scene. At approximately 7:20 p.m., officers located the suspect vehicle near Elphinstone Street and 13th Avenue and performed a traffic stop. The driver was arrested without further incident. Subsequent investigation revealed the same vehicle was involved in the collision with the pedestrian.
As a result of this investigation, 40 year-old Morgan PRESTON is charged with:
- Impaired Operation of a Conveyance By Alcohol [CT 320.14(1)(A)];
- Exceeds 80 mg of Alcohol Within 2 Hours of Operating a Conveyance [CT 320.14(1)(B)];and
- Failure to Stop After Accident [CT 320.16(1)].
PRESTON will make his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court on November 19, 2025 at 9:30 a.m.
