This morning, Thursday, October 16, 2025, at approximately 5:10 a.m., police were called to a business on the 1100 block of Victoria Avenue East for a report of a weapons offence involving a knife. Information received indicated that a male had demanded property from an employee after refusing to follow identification procedures. The suspect then revealed a knife and, once he had obtained the property, went to another area of the building.
Officers arrived on scene and located a male matching the description of the suspect. The male was taken into custody, and a search resulted in the seizure of a large silver knife. Further investigation determined the suspect was bound by a probation order that included a condition prohibiting him from possessing knives. He was arrested without incident.
As a result of this investigation, 37 year-old Christopher WEISGERBER, is charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(B)];
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order [CC 733.1(1)]; and
- 2x Fail to Comply with Condition of an Undertaking [CC 145(4)(A)].
Court Information #: 991319109
