At approximately 5:50 p.m. on Thursday, December 26, 2024, police received a report of a seriously injured male in the area of 8th Avenue and Retallack Street. Upon arrival, officers located the victim laying on the ground with life threatening injuries. Officers provided first aid until EMS arrived where they continued life saving measures, but were unsuccessful. The adult male was determined to be deceased.
This death is being treated as a homicide and the Regina Police Service Major Crimes Unit, in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service is continuing the investigation. At this early stage of the investigation, there are no further details that will be released to the public. The victim’s name will not be released at this time.
