On Saturday, September 21, 2024, at approximately 2:05 a.m., police observed a vehicle drive through a stop sign at 5th Avenue and Wascana Street. While confirming the license plate number, police found the vehicle to be stolen.
Police deployed a tire deflation device before the vehicle came to a stop in the 500 block of Broad Street. At this time, the lone occupant of the vehicle was arrested without incident.
As a result of this investigation, a seventeen year-old male, who cannot be named in keeping with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 [CC 355(A)]
The youth will make his first appearance on these charges in Youth Provincial Court on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at 9:30.m.
