The Regina Police Service is asking the public for any information on an assault with a weapon that took place last night in Regina.
On Friday, June 28, 2024, at approximately 11:15 p.m., police were dispatched to the 4100 block of 5th Avenue for the report of a weapons offence. Information provided was that an adult male had been assaulted and had suffered severe injury, and that the assailant had fled the scene.
Police arrived and located the injured male, whose injuries were consistent with assault with a large bladed weapon, and administered emergency medical aid. EMS arrived and further attended to the victim, who was transported to hospital.
This incident is under investigation.
