On Thursday, April 11, 2024, at approximately 8:25 p.m., police were dispatched to a commercial property on the 2100 block of 11th Avenue for the report of a break and enter in progress. Information received indicated that that a male had broken into multiple businesses, taken items, and was fleeing from security personnel. Police arrived and assisted with the apprehension of the suspect, who resisted both police and security. During his apprehension, the suspect assaulted one of the security staff, causing injury. The male was subsequently arrested. A search revealed break and enter instruments as well as identification belonging to another person.
Twenty-five year-old Raymond IRONCHILD, of Regina, is charged with:
- Attempt Break & Enter Business [CC 348(1)(A)];
- Possession of Break & Enter Instruments [CC 351(1)];
- Resist Arrest [CC 129(1)];
- Assault [CC 266]; and
- Identify Fraud: Possess Identity Document [CC 56.1(1)].
IRONCHILD made his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court today, Friday, April 12, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.
