On Sunday, March 10, 2024, at approximately 6:25 a.m., police were dispatched to the 4100 block of Dewdney Avenue for the report of a weapons offence. Hospital staff were reporting that a man pulled a weapon on a woman in the hospital waiting area. The man held a bladed weapon to the woman, demanding her belongings, and fled with her bag. The victim did not sustain physical injury. Hospital security apprehended the male.
Police arrived and took the 34 year-old male into custody. The bladed weapon used in the offence was recovered. The male was found to be in breach of conditions not to possess knives, and keep the peace.
Thirty-four year-old Chad PRATT, of Regina, is charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(B)]; and
- Fail to Comply With Condition of a Release Order [CC 145(5)(A)].
PRATT made his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court today, March 11, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.
