On Thursday, March 16, 2023 16, 2023, at approximately 2:00 a.m. police were dispatched to a residence on the 600 block of Athol Street for the report of a break and enter in progress.
Police arrived and discovered damage consistent with a recent break and enter, and a posted Sheriff’s notice warning the public not to enter. Police announced their presence with no response, and entered the residence to investigate. A police service dog located a male hiding in the basement, and bit the male. The male was taken into custody and placed under arrest for break and enter. The male was found to be the subject of multiple warrants including break and enter and assault. The male was transported to hospital for treatment of his injuries sustained from the dog bite, and subsequently transported to detention.
Twenty-four year-old Aiden James JOSIE, of Regina, is charged with Attempt Break and Enter [CC 348(1)(A)].
JOSIE made his first appearance on this charge in Provincial Court today, March 16, 2023, at 2:00 p.m.
