On March 11, 2023, at approximately 10:00 a.m., police were dispatched to an address in the 1000 block of McDonald Street. There they found a male who indicated he had been held against his will, assaulted and robbed by an adult male and adult female at a residence in the 900 block of McDonald Street. The male victim told police there was also a female victim still inside the residence who was also assaulted and robbed. The male victim had minor injuries.
Several officers attended to the residence in the 900 block of McDonald Street and located the two suspects believed to be responsible; they were taken into custody without incident. Police also located the female victim. She also had minor injuries.
Twenty-eight year-old Sylvia PETIT, of Regina, has been charged with:
- Forcible Confinement X2 [CC 279(2)];
- Robbery X2 [CC 344(1)(B)]
Twenty-one year-old Joseph WINDIGO, of Regina, has been charged with:
- Forcible Confinement X2 [CC 279(2)];
- Robbery X2 [CC 344(1)(B)]
PETIT and WINDIGO will make their first appearance in Provincial Court on March 13, 2023.
