On Saturday, February 18, 2023 at approximately 6:00 a.m., police responded to the 2200 block of Osler Street for a report of a female in distress. Police arrived and located a 26 year-old male who was on conditions not to have contact with a female at that address. Police attempted to arrest the male and a struggle ensued. The male broke free from police and jumped head first through a second story glass window out onto a roof. The male sustained several injuries as a result of jumping through the window. After a short negotiation, the male came down from the roof and was taken into custody without further incident. Police escorted the male to the hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
Twenty-six year old Kane NEAPETUNG, of Regina is charged with:
- Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest [CC 270(1)(b)]
- Breach of Probation [CC 733.1(1)]
- Breach of Undertaking [CC 145(4)(a)]
NEAPETUNG will appear in Regina Provincial Court on these charges on February 21, 2023 at 9:30 a.m.
