The Regina Police Service is asking for information from the public that could help in solving a street robbery that happened on New Year’s day.
On January 1, 2023, at approximately 3:49 p.m., police were dispatched to hospital for a male who reported having been robbed about an hour earlier. The male victim reported he was walking toward 9th Avenue North from the 100 block of Montreal Street, when he was approached by two males, walking toward him. The victim described the area as a green space in the 300 block of Halifax Street North. The males initiated a conversation and then demanded the victim’s possessions. A struggle ensued in which the victim was stabbed in the arm, and items taken from him by force. The victim ran out of the park and did not see which way the suspects went, but stated they fled on foot. Both suspects were described as males, about 5’ 8” tall; one was described as in his early 20’s and the second suspect was described as “older than” the first suspect.
